Location
By car:
Take the A1 autostrade ( highway) towards Rome if you are coming from the north or towards Florence if you are coming from the south. Exit at Monte San Savino which is located in between these two cities.
After the toll booth turn right and continue for about 3 km. When you arrive at an intersection with a stop sign, turn left and follow the street signs for Castiglion Fiorentino. Continue on the Umbro-Casentinese road until you reach the lower section of the town of Castiglion Fiorentino.
You will find 3 traffic lights, and at the third one turn left and follow the signs that indicate Città di Castello and Polvano. Continue for about 5 km, where you will then find Santa Christina and on the right you will find our gate which is clearly marked with a sign that reads: “Casali in Val di Chio”.
By train :
Castiglion Fiorentino is a stop on most direct and regional trains that travel on the north – south R:R route crossing Italy. From Florence’s S.M. Novella Train Station it takes close to 1 hour to arrive, while form Rome’s Termini train station it take approximately 2 hours to arrive to Castiglion Fiorentino.
Beware not to get on any express, eurostar or IC trains, since they do not make this stop.
